Aluminium Can Balers
Aluminum can baling is big business in today’s “Green” world.
Truthfully, aluminum cans have been a huge boon to the environment. After all, they have proven to be the most recyclable beverage container in the world. Think about this: In America ALONE, more than 105,784 cans are recycled every MINUTE (that’s more than 6.3 million an hour, and 151+ million per day.)
The reason for this massive recycling effort is the ability of the aluminum itself to be used over and over again. In general terms, a single aluminum can may be used, recycled, and turned into another can in quick order. Literally, it can be back on store shelves in 60 days. This saves resources, and even conserves electricity and oil. So one can see why aluminum can recycling has become so popular. And the best way to handle and transport aluminum in the recycling process is to bale it with a baling machine.
Aluminum can baling is generally done by one of three different baler types. For smaller operations, either the long stroke or multipurpose balers are ideal. They are both vertical balers that compress aluminum cans into manageable bales (weights ranging from 35-120kg), and are bothfairly simple to operate. They come in different sizes and configurations, and are ideal for entities that either serve as can collection points, or produce a good volume of aluminum cans on their own (perhaps a corporation or campus.)
For larger needs, horizontal balers fit the bill nicely. Able to handle extreme volumes, these machines can produce 4-6 bales an hour, with weights ranging from 200-300 kg. Recycling centers often use a horizontal baler to compress aluminum cans before sending them to the aluminum processing center. They can even be fitted with a conveyor for easier loading.
