Stevia plant is a small herb of South American origin, almost all the parts of the plant tastes sweet, but mainly it is concentrated in its leaf part. Stevia leaves have been used to sweeten teas and beverages throughout South America for centuries. With no calories, no carbohydrates and very little bitter aftertaste, stevia is gaining more and more popularity worldwide especially among diabetics and dieters as an excellent alternative sweetener to sugar and other artificial sweeteners. Fresh stevia leaves can be directly added to any hot liquid to sweeten. However, most often its dried leaves, powdered extract and syrup that are being found in commercial use.

Since original stevia leaves are small in size and they are loose in natural status, it is not easy to handle or transport. A baling machine can help compress stevia leaves into compact and rgular-shaped bales so as to facilitate and save cost on storage and transportation.
