Drum crusher is also known as drum press, barrel flattener, drum crushing baler, barrel crusher, or barrel press machine. It is a baling machine that use strong hydraulic pressure to flatten almost any kind of metal containers / drums / barrels. Whether you have just a few barrels a week or a larger need like hundred barrels a day, has a vertical barrel crusher machine that perfectly suits your baling press needs. The drum crusher we offer can compact up to 60-70 pieces per hour (of drums up to full 58 gallon or 220 litre size) with a compressing force up to 88,000 lbs.
Like most of our vertical baling machines, Only one person can operate it easily and safely. This makes for greater efficiency. Also this drum crusher requires very limited space and height. Normally it will be your problem about its installation. Obviously, this type of drum baling press machine is not for everyone. But if you have used steel drums to dispose or transport, these drum crushers can efficiently compress and reduce the volume of waste to better facilitate transportation and recycling. This is an important step in the recycling process, as drums take up quite a bit of space, and are unwieldy and inefficient to transport once emptied. The flattened drums also save your storage space a lot. Once the drums have been crushed, the scrap metal is then typically recycled.

FAQ about this machine
Increasing or decreasing the compressing pressure will directly affect the density of your bale. Please follow the steps below to learn how to adjust compressing pressure on your baler. Remember to refer to the safety working pressure stated on your Operator Instruction Manual to ensure you don’t go above the limit.
Pressure adjustment steps for Drum Crusher/Barrel Flattener:
1. Start the motor by pressing the “START” button on control panel.
2. Adjust overflow valve (see B) by turning knob as per the red arrow during baling, you will see the pointer of pressure gauge (see A) increases during the process. Turning the knob in opposite direction and you will see a decrease of pressure.
NOTE:
– Adjust the valve slowly to achieve desired pressure, check the pressure gauge at all time so as to not increase/decrease too much at one time.
– The recommended pressure has already been set at our factory before delivery. Therefore, do not make any adjustment to pressure unless it is necessary.
Upon releasing your baling machine from our factory, we will indicate the required amount of hydraulic oil based on your working condition and environment temperature, and reflect it as Best Oil Level for your baler.
You can easily refer to the “Best Oil Level” stickers as a gauge when you are filling up the oil tank and conduct regular checks on oil level (as seen on picture, slight variation above or below the level line is acceptable).
Taking into consideration that actual operation hours and conditions may varies from time to time, regular checks on oil temperature and level is strongly recommended.
