Description

This sorting line is designed to recover recyclables from a stream of raw solid waste using a manual sorting system, which can help recycling centers or waste converting plants to considerably increase re-use of valuable recyclables and reduce the amount of waste going to landfills and/or incinerators.
This sorting line starts with an in-ground primary (in-feed) conveyor which allows trucks/forklift to dump waste materials directly into the conveyor, preventing breakage or double handling. This inclined conveyor further transports the solid waste to a sorting platform, located 10 - 20 feet above the ground level. The platform usually incorporates a sorting belt-conveyor, 8-10 working positions and two staircases.  Number of working positions as well as staircases can be tailored according to your actual need.  Sorting is performed manually by picking out recyclables from the stream of waste on the sorting conveyor. Recovered recyclables are dropped into appropriate segregated collection containers located underneath the platform. The inclined conveyor, the sorting conveyor, the sorting platform and the staircases are all fabricated of highly durable steel material.
